About
I build real-time 3D software that has to behave like the real thing. That covers a GPU fluid solver running 8 million cells live, CAD pipelines for digital twins, accurate cameras for virtual film production, and games with 600+ live agents at 60 FPS.
My current focus is robotics simulation: NVIDIA Isaac Sim / Isaac Lab, ROS 2, and a mixed-reality teleoperation pipeline that runs from a Quest 3 headset to a trained policy. I still write production C# and Python every day, and I lead teams when a project needs it.
Experience
-
Lead Simulation Engineer
Aug 2023 – PresentVisionaries FZ-LLC · Dubai
Technical lead on Business Heroes (team of 5). 600+ NPCs from 25 to 60 FPS, save migrations across patches, Azure telemetry. Steam 85% positive; taught at three UAE universities.
-
Senior AR Engineer / Division Lead
Nov 2022 – Aug 2023Pretia Technologies · Tokyo
Led the entertainment and media division (5 engineers). Shipped 5+ AR products in one year and vetted 15+ technical proposals.
-
Simulation Engineer (Technical Lead)
May 2020 – Nov 2022Backlot Studio · California
Led 8 engineers on a virtual-production tool. Simulated 15+ cameras and 30+ light fixtures accurately, streamed 2TB+ of sets through a sub-1GB install, and cut integration time by 16 h per scene.
-
VR & Simulation Developer
Apr 2018 – May 2020Elibre DMCC · Cairo
Built a VR interior-visualization simulator. Procedural furnishing stages an apartment in under 2 min, so client turnaround dropped from 2–3 days to under 2 h.
-
Unity Developer (Multiplayer)
Jun 2015 – Mar 2018Bidaj Studio · California
Owned the client architecture for a real-time multiplayer card game (up to 1,000 concurrent players). Photon PUN + Firebase, with 60% less desync.
